Upon listening to the recorded audio of the May 13th Hamburg City Council Meeting, I was intrigued to learn that the 'Grinder Station' had again become 'clogged' with wet wipes, diapers, 'you name it'; that had entered the Hamburg Sanitary Sewage Disposal System.
When I learned that this had also happened a couple of weeks ago, I put the attached graphic notice on my Facebook pages as a courtesy to the City of Hamburg and in an effort to hopefully help the City 'get the word out' Citywide.
But then, it occurred to me: What if the debris clogging the Grinder Station is entering the sanitary sewer system from OUTSIDE of the City?
That reminded me of my learning about the Emmanuel Lutheran Church/School complex and AT LEAST TWO residential buildings on 'church property', located OUTSIDE of the City of Hamburg. that are connected to, and using the facilities of; the City of Hamburg's sanitary sewage disposal system.
As I recall, the last information that I received from you, personally; as the HAMBURG CITY CLERK/TREASURER in response to my inquiry regarding the City providing 'sewage disposal service to the emmanuel facilities, was that the City of Hamburg had, basically; NO INFORMATION about the details of the 'arrangement' between the City of Hamburg and Emmanuel Church/School/Residences complex, other than they were being charged the equivalency of four 'residential City services' each month for their use of the City of Hamburg for their sewage disposal service.
It's Eight ERS
At that time, you stated to me that the City was 'unable to locate the dam line'; referring to the sanitary sewer that connects the Emmanuel complex to Hamburg's sanitary sewer system. or any other pertinent information related thereto.
While the Grinder Station becoming 'clogged up' is NOT a new phenomenon, in view, and because of', the apparent increased frequency with which the Jacob Street Grinder Station is becoming 'clogged up', it is appropriate that the following questions be asked of the City of Hamburg and answers provided to City residents whose TAXPAYER DOLLARS are BEING USED to 'unclog' the Grinder Station when it becomes clogged and PAY FOR any
DAMAGED PARTS THAT MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED as a result of the Grinder Station being frequently 'clogged up'.
If this is continually happening because of its 'originating' from an 'OUTSIDE SOURCE', this places an
UNNECESSARY and INAPPROPRIATE FINANCIAL BURDEN on HAMBURG TAXPAYERS !!
One of the 'likely culprits' for the 'clogging' of the Jacob Street Grinder Station would appear to be the Emmanuel complex. The City MUST INITIATE STEPS to determine whether or not the Emmanuel complex is possibly at fault and one of the causation factors of the 'clogging', or can be exonerated.
In order to CORRECTLY MAKE THAT DETERMINATION, several issues must be addressed, explained and answered. To the best of my knowledge, the City of Hamburg has, once again FAILED TO OBTAIN the
NECESSARY and REQUIRED INFORMATION pertinent to a VERY IMPORTANT and SERIOUS MATTER !!
First, has the City of Hamburg yet determined, with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY, the location, and route; of the sanitary sewer line from the Emmanuel complex, to the City of Hamburg?
City has obtained documentation from Carver County showing the approximate route.
If so, EXACTLY what is the LOCATION and ROUTE of that sanitary sewer line between the Emmanuel complex and the City of Hamburg ?

I am unaware of any inspections. This line is privately owned by Emanuel.
If so, what were the findings/results of that CCTV televised inspection ?
Since it's been installed, have there ever been any breaks, blockages or other event or situation where the flow of effluent, or other sewage byproducts of that sanitary sewer line between the Emmanuel complex and the City of Hamburg, was impeded or, in any other manner, affected ?
To my knowledge there has been no breaks or blockages.
Since its installation, has the sanitary sewer line between the Emmanuel complex and the City of Hamburg ever been 'cleaned' (Roto-Rooter, etc.) professionally ?
I am unaware of any inspection records for this line for it is privately owned by Emanuel.
Has the City of Hamburg ever requested, obtained, employed or contracted for/with the services of a Professional Engineer, skilled, educated, knowledgeable and experienced in municipal sanitary sewer systems/waste disposal regarding the sanitary sewer line between the Emmanuel complex and the City of Hamburg ?

"The City does not have a responsibility to simply answer all questions as you have posed them in your correspondence dated March 29, 2024, unless the answer to the questions can be found in municipal data. “Government data” does not include unrecorded mental impression of government employees or city council members. Keezer v. Spickard, 493 N.W.2d 614 (Minn. Ct. App. 1993). As stated by the Court of Appeals, “we cannot believe the legislature intended the term ‘government data,’ to be literally interpreted to include unrecorded data that exists only in a human brain. SECOND, the City of Hamburg has stated and maintains through its City Clerk/Treasurer; that it has no information whatsoever regarding the identity of perpetrators of acts of vandalism, and other criminal acts, committed against the City of Hamburg and against the dignity of the City's residents.
This is nothing more than a 'RUSE' and 'COVER-UP' by HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS trying to PREVENT THE TRUTH of what took place FROM BEING PUBLICLY KNOWN !!
A.) The act of damage done to a City owned tree in the City owned BI-CENTENNIAL PARK, wherein the bark of the tree had been 'stripped off'; by means of what is believed to have been a 'claw hammer'.
Having personal and other knowledge of the vandalism to the tree in BI-CENTENNIAL PARK that had taken place, the HAMBURG CITY CLERK/TREASURER reportedly, and personally; told a City resident that the perpetrator of this act of vandalism to the tree in BI-CENTENNIAL PARK was committed by a child of HAMBURG CITY MAYOR CHRISTOPHER M. LUND, but that the City 'WANTED TO KEEP IT QUIET' because of the IDENTITY OF THE PERPETRATOR(s) !!

B.) Doors to buildings located at BI-CENTENNIAL PARK were also vandalized; the damage sustained to the doors likewise appeared to have also been committed using a 'claw' hammer, the same or similar to the one used to vandalize the tree(s) at BI-CENTENNIAL PARK.
If, perchance; restitution for the vandalism to the City's electronic sign was made to the City; who/what is the source, and the amount; of that restitution ? The City has no responsive data in its possession regarding your question or request and for that reason is not producing any responsive data to this request.
Because of the similarity of the instrument used in the vandalism of the tree in BI-CENTENNIAL PARK, do you have ANY
personal, or other 'first hand' knowledge, as to the identity who the perpetrator(s) was that caused the vandalism to the doors of the building(s) as BI-CENTENNIAL PARK ?
