1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Sometime along the way, He also created an area now known as Hamburg, Minnesota that was primarily settled by German immigrants, particularly from regions like Hanover, Rhineland, and Mecklenburg, after treaties opened the land to white settlement in the 1850s.
The first land claims in the area date back to 1857 and in 1881, the Minneapolis and St. Louis railroad designated Hamburg as a "stopping place", supposedly marking the formal beginning of Hamburg as a Village.
The first HAMBURG CITY COUNCIL Meeting was held on May 17, 1900 and one can only wonder if those early Hamburg City Council Meetings resembled ANYTHING like the City Council Meetings of the current day.
I suspect that they DIDN'T but, rather; consisted of honest, unselfish, common sense, 'open electors' who were 'looking out' for the welfare of the Village and its residents; unlike what the CITY OF HAMBURG has now become today.
A 'far cry' from what God intended; I'm certain that he's shaking his head in bewilderment !

On Thursday June 12, 2025 I received an e-mail from 'contract' HAMBURG CITY ATTORNEY KELLY C. DOHM that contained an 'attachment' of the letter shown above. Dohm's attached 'message' to me requested
".....that you cease and desist from further directly communicating with the City Clerk, Mr. Jeremy Gruenhagen, regarding city business....."
First of all, Dohm's e-mail to me VIOLATED A 'CEASE & DESIST DIRECTIVE' that I served on her in February 2024 via CERTIFIED MAIL, because of harassment she was committing against me on behalf of the CITY OF HAMBURG. (That CERTIFIED LETTER cost rme OVER TWENTY DOLLARS TO MAIL !!) See
But, Dohm must believe that her VIOLATING A 'CEASE & DESIST' DIRECTIVE IS O.K. BECAUSE SHE'S A LAWYER and, apparently; DOESN'T BELIEVE THAT SHE HAS TO 'ABIDE' by the MINNESOTA 'RULES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT that governs lawyer conduct and behavior !!
Incidentally, Dohm also apparently didn't think that her 'message' to me was worth the 63 cents it would have cost her law firm to mail it to me via the U.S. Postal Service. (IT WASN'T !!)
As you read further in Dohm's letter, she states ".....direct any communication that you would send to Mr. Gruenhagen to myself instead." Like SO MUCH that takes place in this City that RESIDENTS AREN'T AWARE OF, I HEARD NOTHING on the CITY COUNCIL MEETING RECORDINGS that DOHM'S REQUEST was
AUTHORIZED, or EVEN DISCUSSED; by the HAMBURG CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS !!
My complying with Dohm's request would be better for Dohm and her law firm, than 'WINNING THE POWERBALL', and can you IMAGINE the ATROCIOUS LEGAL EXPENSES that Dohm could/would 'RUN UP' for the City !! ??
I'm 'ONTO THEIR GAME' and have ALREADY CAUGHT Gruenhagen, et al; PREVIOUSLY DOING such a
MISDEED to INCREASE THE CASHFLOW OUT OF HAMBURG TAXPAYER'S POCKETS and into the City's 'contract' law firm's bank, and then trying to PLACE THE BLAME' on me !! (ALL of the information I needed to PROVE what was taking place, was READILY AVAILABLE; one just has to KNOW where to 'look' !!) ASK THE CITY TO SHOW YOU THE APPROPRIATE RECORDS !!
At the exorbitant hourly rate that the City pays Dohm and her law firm, which THE CITY WON'T DISCLOSE TO ME; the City might just as well turn their checkbook directly over to Dohm and her law firm !!
Instead of 'funneling' my REQUESTS FOR PUBLIC CITY INFORMATION through Dohm, as she REDICULOUSLY
requested; I'll now PUBLICLY seek that 'PUBLIC INFORMATION' via my FACEBOOK page and my WEBSITE ABOUT THE CITY OF HAMBURG at
(Which now has received OVER 124,000 'HITS' !!)
Doing it that way will ensure that there's NO MORE 'SECRECY' by HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS and CITY RESIDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO KNOW WHAT'S TAKING PLACE !!
Dohm goes on to state, ".....Mr. Gruenhagen considers your communications to be unwelcome and harassing communications and considers many of your communications towards him to include defamatory statements about him."
Yet, Dohm doesn't cite any examples, so I will:
Let me see if I 'got this right': I'm a TAX PAYING RESIDENT of the CITY OF HAMBURG, but when I SEE, HEAR,
WITNESS and OBSERVE the 'COVER-UP', DISHONESTY, MISCONDUCT, INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR and
CORRUPTION INVOLVING HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS, I'm NOT ENTITLED TO INQUIRE ABOUT the details
of what I've SEEN, HEARD, WITNESSED or OBSERVED ?
Dohn has also erred in her inappropriate use of verbiage in her e-mailed letter to me by inserting her inflammatory words such as 'unwelcome', 'harassing' and 'defamatory' instead correct verbiage such as 'TRUTH', 'FACTS', 'PROVEN' and 'DOCUMENTED'.
Anybody with 'half a brain' will quickly realize that what's taking place with the City is simply another means in which they are trying to thwart my obtaining, and passing along to City residents and other visitors to my FACEBOOK and Webages; what REALLY is taking place !! SAME 'RODEO', SAME ACTORS; SAME SONG; DIFFERENT VERSE !!

I enjoy receiving the many comments to my Facebook posts and e-mails regarding the content of my Website. In all of the years that I've used the FACEBOOK platform, I have NEVER had to 'block' ANYONE from posting their comments. But that recently changed.
Because of The VULGARITY, RUDENESS and
INAPPROPRIATENESS of the comments that he posted on my FACEBOOK page, I found it
NECESSARY to PERMANENTLY 'BLOCK' FORMER HAMBURG MAYOR MIKE BUCKENTIN
from accessing my FACEBOOK page, thereby also further PREVENTING HIM FROM POSTING ANY OF HIS SIMILAR TASTELESS, UNDIGNIFIED and
STUPID comments; as well.
FORMER HAMBURG MAYOR BUCKENTIN was one of my MOST VOCAL ADVERSARIES during the four year term I served as a HAMBURG CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, and apparently HAMBURG'S FORMER MAYOR still carries a grudge about
what I was then, and STILL DOING TODAY; 'UNCOVERING' and PUBLICLY EXPOSING; the 'COVER-UP' of MISCONDUCT and
CORRUPTION INVOLVING HAMBURG CITY OFFICIALS.
It's very TELLING to note that FORMER HAMBURG MAYOR MIKE BUCKENTIN's comments (that have since been removed) DID NOT DISPUTE ANY of the DOCUMENTED FACTS and INFORMATION that I've reported on my FACEBOOK and Website pages, rather; he chose to verbally attack me personally instead.
FORMER HAMBURG MAYOR MIKE BUCKENTIN, by his words, actions and misdeeds; is an INSULT to the long-standing and well-respected Buckentin family name, is a DISGRACE to the other fine members of the Buckentin family and is an EMBARRASSMENT to HIS SON JASON; the current CITY OF HAMBURG PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE who is PAID WITH HAMBURG TAXPAYER DOLLARS !!
